*shrug* The owner of the truck told me that it was an FJ40 that he’d had modified. But you’re right — it looks exactly like the ones on tlcicon.com, down to the grey color.
That is really an ancient one, TLC no longer makes the FJ40′s with the Kick Vent in the front. The new ones do not have them, Guy spends over 100,000 just to say HE built it, its a fantastic truck, hand made. Just not by the owner lol.
I just came across the picture of my truck you posted. Just to right the record, I have never told anyone that I built the truck. When questioned about it I clarify that is started out at a 72′ FJ40 and then describe, in point, the modificatications/upgrades that were made. Credit for the work place into the truck is ALWAYS given to Jonathan Ward and the team at TLC in Los Angeles. I really carry TLC business cards in the console which I provide to interested parties.
That’s not a Land Cruiser (not built by Toyota), it’s a TLC Icon… a custom hand made 4×4 in the tradition of the Legendary FJ40.

Nice photo by the way
Thanks for the clarification
