The 2004 Camry does have the child restraint anchors as standard equipment. They are just behind the rear seat back. There are plastic covers covering these mounts.
All cars manufactured and/or sold in the US after September 2003 must have latch system attachment installations in the rear seat outboard positions. All child passenger seats manufactured after that date for sale in the US also have the latch belting system as standard equipment. The child must be 12 months ancient and 20 pounds to sit in a forward facing child restraint that is attached to the rear seat with the latching system. The Honda you bring up would have the system. Question your relatives to consult the owners manual of that vehicle so they can locate the latches or have a NHTSA Certified Child Passenger Technician install the child passenger unit for you.
